SAKURA PDF

I HAVE UPLOADED MY SAKURA PDF TO PATREON

#patreon #update #sakura #cherry blossom #hokusai #print #yoshino

This months technozi pdf has just been uploaded to my https://www.patreon.com/JVartndesign

It has poetry translations and art and here's one example of the art posted.

One of Hokusai's late prints -a view of Yoshino's cherry blossoms.

I ended up with TOO MANY IMAGES so you'll be getting more cherry art and poems for the next  couple of weeks and then our May theme will be the pretty boys well dressed warriors and men of fashion of Ukiyo-e prints.

Moonscape - Japanese Print

#moonscape #japaneseprint

I have completely forgotten who the artist was but it is an interesting example of prints in the column format. gradient, and grey tones used for texture using angles rather than s curves as a predominant layout feature plus I think the way its a ferry man NOT conveying geisha just getting on with his job.

Flowers and Butterflies

Here's some flowers to mark spring and easter.

These were made during the Qing dynasty.

Hope this improves your day if you're in self-isolation or quarantine due to the pandemic.

Kurome - the Cherry Tree Spirit

#yoshitoshi #sakura #kurome

This is how Yoshitoshi envisioned Kurome.

The angle of her hair pins seems oddly reminiscent of the pistils of a blossom.
She's both demure yet sensual and the green blue obi balances out the deep crimson under kimono and the pale purple of her outer robe.
